STILL UK are currently looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer Apprentice in the South East region.

We are looking for the new generation of engineers to start their career in our Industry leading Apprenticeship Programme and help us maintain and repair our extensive range of lift trucks and materials handling equipment. Successful applicants will give be given full support throughout the programme. You will need to have a passion for all things engineering, be keen to learn and be motivated to achieve success. In return, you will be provided with all the equipment and training you need to complete our Apprenticeship Programme and live in the Derby/Walsall area of the East Midlands.

You will need to commit to 3 years of training before you become a fully qualified Workshop Engineer, you will be supported throughout the 3 years by a dedicated Mentor who will help you develop your skills and an Apprentice Development Officer (ADO) who will monitor all of your training through college training and on the job training.

STILL UK offer high quality in house training to aid you through the 3 years to aid your transition to Workshop Engineer after you qualify.

Tasks and Qualifications:

To be considered for our Apprenticeship you will ideally have Math’s and English to grade GCSE 4 or above or National 5 in Scotland. Also a background in mechanical/electrical engineering would aid your application.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

Attend all training courses

Deliver high levels of customer service

Meet the personal and professional standards of the Company and conduct yourself in accordance with the STILL UK apprentice programme behavioural guidelines

Complete tasks in the workshop and take responsibility for being involved in its day to day running alongside the workplace mentors to complete your Vocational Competency Qualification (VCQ)

Work at becoming competent at carrying out regular servicing, preventative maintenance and repairs on all trucks to a high standard
