Overview

The accountancy or taxation professional was approved for delivery on 07/11/2017. This Higher apprenticeship standard awards you with a level 7, non-degree qualification qualification when completed. The usual duration of this apprenticeship is 36 months, but this does not include the End-Point Assessment Period.

What the course covers

Accountancy and Taxation Professionals are recognised as prominent figures in taxation, accountancy and finance, and offer support and leadership in a wide variety of settings. Working closely with the Professional Bodies and tuition providers, they are able to draw upon their knowledge of taxation legislation, ethical codes and internal policies to provide high-quality financial advice to business and organisations.

You will use your expert skills to help protect an organisations’ financial futures, and play a key role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of a range of businesses’ accounts and statements. You will evaluate information quickly and make balanced decisions whilst building key relationships and demonstrate your understanding of financial ethics and governance. You will also be able to use a range of communication methods and technical skills to work independently and as part of a wider team.

As an apprentice, you will also develop your business acumen by undertaking an assortment of modules on assurance, risk & control, the fundamentals of business analysis, decision making and problem-solving.
