Establishing and maintaining successful tenancies in the rented housing sector

Overview

The housing and property management was approved for delivery on 26/11/2015. This Advanced apprenticeship standard awards you with a level 3, qualification when completed. The usual duration of this apprenticeship is 18 months, but this does not include the End-Point Assessment Period.

What the course covers

A professional in Housing and property management will work in a customer-facing role, with primary responsibility for the establishment and maintenance of tenancies in the rented housing sector. The work is varied, but can often include addressing complex people-related matters. You will have a proactive attitude, a willingness to find solutions to problems, and drive to identify areas for improvement.

The skills you will develop are primarily focused on customer service and communication. You will learn to apply a range of customer service skills to provide a professional, accurate, timely, ethical and non-judgemental front line service which meets the needs of a diverse range of customers and clients.

At this apprenticeship level, you may be involved in supervising a wider team of professionals, ensuring all team members comply with contractual, statutory and legal regulations and approved Codes of Practice. Upon completion of this apprenticeship standard, the apprentice will be eligible to join a professional body, such as the Chartered Institute of Housing at Member level or Association of Residential Letting Agents at Associate Level.
