Overview

Approved for delivery on the 02/11/2018, the sales executive, Higher apprenticeship standard provides a level 4, upon completion. This apprenticeship will typically take 18 months to complete, not including the End-Point Assessment Period.

What the course covers

Sales Executives have the responsibility to sell a specific product line or service. Apprentices will learn how to plan sales activities, lead the end-to-end sales interaction with the customer and manage sales internally within the organisation. You will also be responsible for retaining and growing the number of existing customer accounts and generating new business by proactively contacting prospective customers.

Apprentices will develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of the organisation where they work, including the products or services you will be selling. You will develop the necessary skills to become an expert at analysing customer needs and creating solutions by selecting the appropriate product or service that will meet the customer’s requirements.

With customer satisfaction the number one priority, you will work to develop customer relationships by building trust and confidence. This will be achieved by demonstrating detailed product knowledge, competitor knowledge and an understanding of the market in which they operate.
