Overview
This Degree senior and head of facilities management (degree) apprenticeship standard will provide you with a level 6, integrated degree qualification. This apprenticeship standard was approved on the 27/03/2018 and typically takes 42 months to complete. However, it is important to note that the duration of the apprenticeship standard stated does not include the End-Point Assessment period.
What the course covers
Senior facilities management practitioners are responsible for the delivery of a variety of integrated facilities management operational services across multiple sites. Facilities management encompasses multi-disciplinary activities within the management of individuals in the workplace. You will help coordinate the delivery of strategic and operational objectives of the business through working to provide a safe and efficient working environment.
Essential aspects of this role include devising the facilities management strategy, setting budgets, and overseeing the financial performance of the facilities management function. You will also be responsible for managing client relationships, building a large client base, and developing the organisational capability of the facilities management workforce. This apprenticeship standard will have a significant focus on the development of leadership skills, such as an ability to motivate your team, issue discipline when necessary, and inspire your team members to exceed their professional goals.
Entry onto this apprenticeship will allow for apprentices to receive membership of the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management at Affiliate grade, with the opportunity to progress to Member grade upon successful completion of the apprenticeship standard.
