Job summary

We are looking to appoint a dynamic individual to join the Trust’s dedicated Apprenticeships and Widening Participation Team, to increase the knowledge and understanding, and uptake of apprenticeship programmes that are available for our Trust employees. They would also support the Widening and Participation initiatives for career development through engagement with partner educational providers, local colleges, schools and others raising awareness of recruitment opportunities into the Trust.

Main duties of the job

You will need to be confident, proactive and have excellent written communication and administrative skills. Experience of managing projects and using a variety of IT systems. Microsoft office package is essential. The role requires a good understanding of the Apprenticeship agenda, how apprenticeship programmes work, and the funding process. You will need to build internal networks in the Trust and, with our many external training providers and stake holders.

The Apprenticeships and Widening Participation Team is a small dedicated team who are passionate about supporting other development for them to reach their full potential. The team sits within the wider Integrated Education Team. This service has a cohesive approach to supporting and managing learning for all roles and working in partnership with staff and their managers.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Minimum requirement 3 A levels required for entry to degree level qualification / apprenticeship including maths and English GCSE grade 4/C /functional skills level 2
  • Level 3 Business Administration or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Advanced excel qualification or equivalent
  • IT qualification or equivalent supporting data analysis
  • Word Processing Qualification
  • Educated to degree Level 6 Apprenticeship ; including Maths and English functional skills as required or willingness to work towards
  • Desirable

  • Educated to Diploma level 5 or Degree level 6 or equivalent subject level qualification or significant experience at a similar role in specialist area
  • Supervisory Line management qualification/training
  • Marketing/Social Media qualification
  • Experience

    Essential

  • Previous experience of using all Microsoft Office software packages
  • High level skill using Excel – data management; manipulating/ presenting data for reports. Quality assurance processes to ensure accurate data is produced

  • Proven ability to contribute to team working and to develop good working relationships with junior and senior team members
  • Able to work autonomously with proven experience
