We are seeking to recruit a Healthcare SupportWorker Apprentice to work in our Dermatology Department. We are looking for a motivated,caring and compassionate person, to join our nursing workforce here atBridgewater.

This is a development role and an excellentopportunity to study for a level 3 sector specific qualification whilst earninga salary, learning on the job and benefitting from the support on offer here atBridgewater.

The HCSW apprenticeship is a 12 18month programme,the successful candidate will be paid at band 2. Completion of theapprenticeship is a condition of employment for this post. Uponsuccessful completionof the apprenticeship programme, the postholder will progress to a band 3 HealthCare Assistant role in the Organisation and be in a good position to apply forfurther progression opportunities.

Successful candidate will be based within theWarrington Dermatology Team on a full-time basis in Warrington.

Applicants will need to be able to either evidenceprior achievement of GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4-5 or above orequivalent Level2 English and Maths qualifications OR evidence abilityand willingness to achieve these qualifications as part of the apprenticeship.

Main duties of the job

Apprentices will spend some of their paidworking hours attending classroom-based teaching at Riverside College, Widnesand receive support from the college and the Trust to develop the knowledge,skills and behaviors required for the job role.

The mainpurpose of the role is to work as an integral member of the team to provideexcellent patient care and support to patients and families in the communitysetting.

Thepostholder will learn to:

Undertakeclinical interventions under the direction of a registered HealthcareProfessional.

Maintainaccurate documentation on the IT System/records.

Assistin ensuring equipment/environment is clean according to the Infection ControlGuidelines.

Liaisewith other clinicians / administration, reporting as appropriate

Toprovide a clerical support function for the team
