Brief overview of the vacancy role

You will be assisting the People Team in providing timely and accurate HR and L&D support to the Operations and Management Teams. You will oversee administrative tasks and ensure they are processed efficiently, whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. You will also be a key in helping the People Team identify and create solutions to gaps in processes.

Vacancy Description

As a People Assistant Apprentice you will be working toward the HR Specialist Level 3 apprenticeship alongside your daily roles and responsibilities.

This is a ‘stepping stone’ entry level role, for an individual wanting to pursue a career in HR/L&D. Your personal development will be key to this role; as well as working on day to day processes and tasks, you will be part of key project groups, and spend time learning with experienced leaders.

Day to day tasks will include;

– Responding to first line queries to the People Team and escalations to the Operations People Partner as necessary.

– Dealing with all queries fairly and consistently.

– Supporting the coordination of training and company induction for new Management and Central Support.

– Ensuring accuracy of all necessary team member information on the HR system (personal information, Proof of Eligibility etc).

– Maintenance of Team Member filing systems. Filing auditing and ensuring files are kept up to date.

– Sending out of management contracts and onboarding documents and variations of terms.

– Responding to employment reference requests.

– Assisting with management of HR and L&D systems, including Applicant Tracking systems, Learning Management System and Right to Work checking.

– Processing of Fitness for Work Statements, Maternity/Paternity/Share Parental Leave.

– Assisting the Payroll team with payroll queries as required.

– Ad-hoc reporting as required.

– Ad-hoc projects when required.
