Brief overview of the vacancy role
there are five key areas of work all leisure team members will cover; leisure and fitness operations, lifeguard duties, swimming teaching duties, gym instruction and leading group activities. They act as a Lifeguard, Swimming Teacher and Gym Instructor. Supervise swimming pools and ensure safety of all users
– Ensure daily operational checklists are completed
– Ensure cleaning tasks are completed to the company standard
– Promote the safe use of all areas
– Ensure equipment setups are completed safely, to the required standard and on time.
– Enforce Normal Operating Procedures at all times
– Follow Emergency Action Plan procedures at site
– Deliver teaching to the company standards
– Promote a positive member journey and experience that generates compliments and helps retain members.
– Support the Fitness Manager with the implementation of various member engagement initiatives
– Interact with members to support their training goals
– Complete the tasks to ensure the standards of the exercise class meet company expectations
– Increase and maximise occupancy levels
– Interact with members to support their training goals
– Assist in the monitoring of group exercise attendance by checking customers attending
– Aid retention target of fitness members through consistent delivery of the EA NOP/Fitness Standards
Vacancy Description
The Recreation Assistant will be responsible for a range of operational duties such as assisting with the opening and closing of the facility, undertaking routine maintenance of equipment and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the environment.
A large part of this role will be assisting swimming teachers in the delivery of swimming lessons and working towards personal delivery of swim teaching. Alongside their operational duties there are five key areas of work all leisure team members will cover; leisure and fitness operations, lifeguard duties, swimming teaching duties, gym instruction and leading group activities.
They act as a Lifeguard, Swimming Teacher and Gym Instructor.
As an apprentice with Chilterns Lifestyle Centre, you will be studying towards a 12-18 months qualification that will be the Level 2 Leisure Team Member Apprenticeship
