We have a brilliant opportunity for a Digital Marketing/Web Design Apprentice to join the company and work at one of the finest furniture manufacturers in the country. Renowned for exceptional designs across all our furniture.

Vacancy Description

The right person will get the opportunity to work alongside a bunch of talented professionals, becoming essential members of the team, and gaining experience working in all areas of the business.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong work ethic, able to pick up new knowledge and skills very quickly, a can-do attitude and show a willingness to work as part of a team. We are looking for an individual to help drive their website, develop their SEO and promote the company through marketing campaigns with successful deliveries, in-line with wider marketing plans alongside the internal marketing team.

Responsibilities:

Website:

– Work alongside our talented in-house Marketing Department to collate and input content onto the website.

– Show your eagle-eyed attention to detail by gathering the correct product information for the website.

– Help them to design, build, populate and maintain their website

– The ability to work with content management systems such as Shopify, Joomla! and WordPress.

– Designing, building, administration, and managing website

– An eye for design and making a website or other online interface look and function well

– The ability to design and add to our existing website as well as build a new one.

Marketing:

– Implement and manage marketing campaigns with successful deliveries.

– Ability to jump onto the design of email campaigns and press adverts using Adobe Creative Suite if asked.

– Design and keeping up to date signage, branding, business cards, signatures, e-shot mailers, company profiles/brochures and presentations.

– Identifying new trends in digital marketing, evaluating the new technologies and ensuring the company is at the forefront of industry developments.

Photography:

– In-house and on-site photography (for web updates, in-house library, for social media, press releases, blog posts and general use.

– Edit photography as required.

Social Media:

– Managing the company’s social media content, ensuring a broad range of themes are followed on: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linked In and Pinterest.

Communication:

– Confidence in contacting clients regarding potential marketing campaigns.

– Daily communication with sales reading jobs on the horizon.

– Liaising with suppliers and factory managers for costings and relevant information.

Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, you will receive training through blended learning. This combines online technical training within a virtual classroom, as well as real-world and practical experience with your employer. The certifications you gain are highly respected and globally recognised. The skills, knowledge and experience you will gain whilst on the programme are invaluable. Giving you the best possible start to your professional career within the marketing sector.

Develop an understanding of search marketing, search engine optimisation and Pay-Per-Click, email marketing, web analytics and metrics, mobile apps and how these can work together.

– Security levels necessary to protect data
– Digital etiquette
– Customer Relationship Management systems
– Understand the differences between all the major digital and social media platforms
– Plan digital content based on audience needs
– How a digital marketing team works in a business environment

Principles of Coding
Develop knowledge in the range of concepts, approaches, software languages and techniques that are applicable to Principles of Coding.
Key Topics:
– Compatibility of code on different platforms
– Components involved in web development
– Hosting and serving
– Search Engines
– How local (cookies) or session data storage is utilised
– Programming languages and how they apply to building digital products (html/javascript)

Google Analytics IQ
Develop knowledge to be proficient in Google Analytics and be effective at leveraging Google Analytics within their organisations.

– Layout, reporting, campaign and conversion tracking
– Data collection, setup and configuration
– Analysis tools and techniques
– Advanced marketing tool”
