Our client is seeking a Business Administration Apprentice/ Receptionist to join their growing team Northampton!

While in the role, you will be working towards gaining a recognised Level 3 Business Administration qualification through an apprenticeship.

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours a week

Salary: £5 an hour (Apprentice wage)

Business Administration Apprentice/ Receptionist Duties:

  • The Receptionist must be adequately qualified to perform their role or working towards the appropriate qualification under the close supervision of a qualified person.
  • Greet customers and ensure they are offered refreshments where appropriate
  • Ensure all customers complete an Informed Consent form before their scan
  • Ensure customers are treated with respect and empathy, receiving a fun and friendly service, adhering to our organisational values
  • Take payments for the services and products provided
  • Upsell additional products and services
  • Book additional appointments for customers where relevant
  • Answer calls and respond to emails professionally
  • Answering queries if possible, or taking messages and referring queries to the appropriate team member if necessary (this could be in person, by email, or on the )
  • Take bookings, ensuring the correct information is obtained from the customer and work with the Sonographer to ensure adequate appointment times are allocated
  • Provide a chaperone service where necessary (and complete the qualification)
  • Follow the ‘opening-up procedure’ and ‘end of day procedure’
  • Post on social media accounts and reply to comments/messages
  • Complete weekly stock-check of merchandise, stationery, clinical equipment
  • Ensure all forms/pricelists are printed and fully stocked.
  • Follow and complete the cleaning schedule
  • Cashing up at the end of a shift as well as petty cash.
  • Processing of digital downloads on clinic days.
  • Report any suspected safeguarding issues, following the Safeguarding Procedure
  • Attend all training prescribed by the Registered Manager, working towards your own Continued Professional Development
  • Follow the policies, procedures and risk assessments as set out by the Director/Registered Manager
  • Any other duties commensurate with the pay grade, seniority, and expertise of the role

Business Administration Apprentice/ Receptionist Requirements:

  • Supporting the Office Manager, Sonographer, and management team on administrative tasks such as (but not limited to):
  • Stock checking
  • Filing and cross-checking for quality
  • Creating social media graphics
  • Supporting wider business activities such as marketing 
  • Completing
  • job-specific qualifications
  • Completing business administration tasks, the underpin the business’s operation e.g purchase invoice logs, data archiving
  • Attend college and complete the L3 Business Administration Course
