Job Title: IT Apprentice (Level 3)

Location: Hove

Salary: £17,290 per annum (National Living Wage)

Our client based in Brighton is looking to recruit an Information Technology Apprentice to join their team, reporting to their IT director. This is a hands-on, service-focused role in all aspects of IT including:

  • Technical user support
  • Training/ guidance to users on using the IT estate
  • Managing IT for starters and leavers
  • On and off-boarding new applications into the business
  • Managing the network, information security and compliance
  • Administration of IT services incl. provisioning equipment, licences management, processing invoices and oversee maintenance by partners

This role engages with people at all levels of the organisation, their partners and 3rd parties.
Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels
  • Clear and consistent, jargon-free communication
  • Ensure IT is deployed effectively, in-line with the IT policy
  • Provide technical and subject matter expertise in the use of IT and the IT estate
  • Build and manage relationships with key partners
  • Manage user support – technical and training, escalating to 3rd party as required
  • To develop and maintain required documentation including:
    • Process/ procedure
    • Technical/ configuration
    • User-guidance/ best practice
    • User training
  • Leverage value from IT investment including working with 3rd parties & customers to:
    • ensure existing applications are optimised to meet business needs
    • implement new applications or new features within existing applications
    • identify new and emerging technologies to benefit IMEX
    • coordinate proof of concepts/ evaluations/ pilots
  • Provide support outside core hours when required by the business for:
    • project implementations when required by the business
    • managing critical support

Required Qualifications

  • Hold GCSE grades A-C (4/9) in English and maths

  • After successful completion of the apprenticeship there is potential to progress into a permanent role.
