Tees Active is a leading charitable trust providing sport, leisure, and wellbeing services to communities in Stockton-on-Tees, in partnership with Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council. Established in 2004, Tees Active are passionate about the power of physical activity and believe that everyone should have equal opportunities to enjoy the abundance of health benefits associated with leading an active lifestyle.

Our mission is to ‘invest every penny to build active and healthy communities’ and we are proud to offer some of the area’s most exciting leisure destinations including outdoor adventure attractions, local swimming pools and multi-sport leisure centres. From gyms and swimming pools to high ropes courses and white-water activities, racquet sports and ice skating, soft play, fitness classes and much more, there’s something for everyone with Tees Active.

Within our Leisure, we provide you with the necessary qualifications and hands on experience in your chosen field to begin a great career. While undertaking one of our apprenticeships, you will be responsible for a range of duties to grow and develop your skills. These programmes often lead to possible progression into full and part time roles, further qualifications, higher level apprenticeships and employment within the leisure sector.

As an apprentice with Tees Active, you will be studying towards a 12-18 months qualification that will be the Level 2 Community Activator Coach Apprenticeship

Future Prospects

This programme may lead to possible progression into full and part time coaching roles, further qualifications, Level 3 apprenticeships and employment in other sectors (for example youth work or leisure).
