Role
Maintaining all apprentice spreadsheets e.g. apprentice log, training provider log and mailing lists to ensure all information is regularly updated and accurate
Working closely with managers to ensure they are aware of their responsibility and commitment to apprentices, and remaining in contact with apprentices to ensure they are obtaining the right experience within their team i.e. organising quarterly catch ups with apprentices and managers
First point of contact for all Learning Coaches / Apprentice Outcome Officers and ensure all apprentices are on track to complete their apprenticeship on time
Coordination of apprenticeship enrolment and professional membership
Supporting Apprentice initiatives i.e. committees and events
Support the Manager with salary benchmarking and annual remuneration review
Coordinate and manage a buddy system for all apprentices
Coordination in close collaboration with the People Development team, of the apprentice learning journey and the development/enhancement of an internal programme of professional and business development for apprentices
Providing assistance to employees with regard to MyHR, acting as a first point of contact for the HR Shared Services team
Monitoring performance and absence cases with line managers, apprentices and HR Business Partners
Monthly payroll administration including changes for current apprentices and leavers
Monthly HR reporting including sickness, appraisals and reports for any ad-hoc requests
Ensuring employee records are accurate and up to date on HR.Net and relevant lists
Providing advice and guidance to apprentices, managers, supervisors and counsellors on the APC/EPA and professional qualifications
Qualification support to include coordination of mock interviews and monitoring qualification progress
Supporting with the Apprentice Committee initiatives
Managing the apprentice Microsoft Teams Channel
Ad-hoc project work
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Previous HR experience desirable but not essential
