We have a number ofapprenticeship opportunities in:

  • Level 2/3 Pharmacy Services Assistant 2 roles available
  • The duration of thecourse at Level 2 will be 14-16 months or at Level 3 the duration will be 18-20months.

  • Must have Maths and English skills equivalent to GCSE level E or above; or from 2017 GCSE grade 4 or above; or Functional Skills at Level 1 or above

  • Can always maintain confidentiality of information
  • Are capable of working as part of a team
  • Flexible due to the requirement of working an internal rotation

    Main duties of the job

    You will theopportunity to access work and earn a wage as you learn on the job. It ispart of the Trusts grow our own workforce for the future programme. Being anapprentice, this may be your first step of a career in the NHS. It is anopportunity for you to experience work, study, and learn new skills.

  • Work towards achieving a Level 2 or 3 apprenticeship education programme. During the apprenticeship you will undertake work-based assessments, complete all assignments/projects relating to the Apprenticeship framework and present evidence portfolios for assessment within specified timeframes for apprenticeship accreditation.
  • Be assessed throughout the Apprenticeship contract with regard to practice and education and be expected to complete the essential elements of the apprenticeship.
  • Be supported to complete the Trusts Health Care Support Worker training and the Care Certificate during the first 6 months in the clinical area.
  • You will be required to work shiftsincluding long days, weekends and bank holidays appropriate to your clinicalarea and role. As part of the course there may be an opportunity to experienceworking night shift, this will be at your Managers discretion.
