We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Lead for Quality Assurance and Apprenticeships to join the Skills for Practice team here at UHS.
Skills for Practice are a small but dynamic team, working in many different areas from career support, widening participation, vocational and clinical skills. We provide training in clinical skills to undergraduate medical students as well as registered healthcare professionals who require enhanced skills training. We also deliver the Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship and support the Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

Your Responsibilities
What youll do
Alongside the existing post holder you will be responsible for ensuring the planning, delivery and evaluation of the Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship and that this is of a high standard and fulfils the needs of external awarding and monitoring bodies. You will be able to internally quality assure the standard of work submitted to the online platform OneFile and as such hold or be working towards an IQA award. You will be responsible for ensuring assessors are on target with learner reviews and that the Wessex NVQ Centre is delivering high quality learning experiences for learners.
What were looking for
You need to have excellent communication skills. Experience of working within education it its broadest sense is desirable as is knowledge of the apprenticeship agenda. You must be able to work within a team as well as autonomously when required. Excellent organisational and problem solving skills are a must as is the ability to work flexibly when required.
The post holder will be responsible for line managing others within the team.
