Job summary

As a Business Administration Apprentice you will be employed by our Organisational Development Team for a fixed term period of 15 months, during which you will be supported to achieve the Level 2 Customer Service Apprenticeship.

During the first 2 months in post, you will complete a comprehensive induction to the Trust and administrative role, including general administrative duties and training across various ICT systems that will assist you in providing administrative support across a range of different teams throughout the hospital. You will also be required to attend regular monthly training sessions with your allocated training provider delivered at the hospital site within which you are working.

Main duties of the job

To undertake and complete the Customer Service Apprenticeship within the required timescale.

To undertake all training required for the post within the timescales required, ensuring progress of own learning against set progress targets.

Working as part of the Organisational Development Team supporting the education and learning team. Providing flexible administrative and clerical cover as required to meet the needs of the service.

  • Word-processing including copy typing.
  • Accurately inputting confidential data using a variety of Trust IT systems in a timely way.

  • Photocopy and distribute documents as required
  • Shred and destroy confidential documentation in line with Trust policy
  • Taking telephone messages, dealing with them in a timely and efficient way and refer as appropriate
  • Assisting with the amending and sending out documents (e.g. letters)

Maintain and update any filing systems and databases associated with the department.

We are currently looking for a business administration apprentice to join our team. This postholder will be working as part of the Organisational Development Team supporting the organisational development and education teams.

The post holder will need to have great interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate sensitive or contentious information in a confidential, organised and appropriate manner to a variety of audiences.
