We are looking for candidates who have a positive and caring attitude, along with having a collaborative, compassionate and open approach to their work. We want to recruit people with a genuine desire to care and to develop their skills and experience through a funded Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship. This course requires no previous experience in care as you will be fully supported to complete your induction process, care certificate and gain experience prior to the start of the course.

Main duties of the job

The Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship is a minimum three years of development, through a mixture of work based learning and university study. There are placement experiences included where you will be working in a variety of settings. These provide further insight into the role and support you in fulfilling the requirements set by the NMC. You will be enrolled with a university and will be required to manage your own learning, whilst being supported with placements. Upon successful completion of the course you will be eligible for registration with the NMC as a registered Nurse

Minimum requirements:

  • Minimum of Level 3 (NVQ/Diploma/ 2x A-Level) qualifications or equivalent in Health and Social care related subject.
  • Functional skills at minimum level 2 in Maths and English or GCSE in Maths and English Grade C/4 or above
  • Ability to travel to attend university study, placements and daily commute
  • Previous experience in dealing with the public.
  • Minimum 30 hours contract, must be a substantive post.
  • Meets the ESFA funding requirements in that non-UK nationals areeligible for funding if they have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least the previous 3 years on the first day of their apprenticeship and have permission from the UK government to live in the UK (not for educational purposes) or have obtained pre-settled or settled status under EUSS.
