Annual wage
£17,000.00
50p increase in hourly rate every 6 months as long as all course requirements are met
Working week
Monday – Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm with 1 college day during term time.
Total hours per week: 40
Expected duration
27 Months

What will the apprentice be doing?
Looking after patients whilst in the practice
Assisting the dentist
Setting up and closing down the surgery
Mixing materials
Helping in the decontamination room
Managing all administrative issues
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 3 Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Dental Nurse (Standard):
Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing
First Aid training (at college)
End Point Assessment of knowledge test, observation and professional discussion, portfolio
Qualification achieved: L3 Dental Nurse
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Potential opportunity for full time job after apprenticeship has been completed with further educational opportunities.
