Job summary

To work with trainee nursing associate (TNA) apprentices in clinical practice & provide pastoral support.

Work collaboratively with the University of Plymouth programme team for TNA’s

Prepare & update supervisors & assessors to meet the NMC standards for supervision & assessments

Promote & support innovative approaches to supporting learners in practice to maximise capacity.

***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as ‘Priority’ and ‘At Risk’ status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***

12 Month Fixed term contract or a 12 month secondment, with the possibility of becoming Permanent

Main duties of the job

Work clinically with TNA’s to develop them to meet the learning outcomes of the programme & to meet the NMC standards of proficiency for Nursing Associates & to provide pastoral support to all learners working towards NMC registration

Provide support & education to supervisors, assessors & other clinical staff to ensure we provide high quality clinical placements that provide learning opportunities to ensure they meet the outcomes of their programmes.

Deliver clinical skills training to learners on programmes leading to NMC registration.
