We are excited to be offering a number of engineering apprenticeships starting in September 2023 based in St Austell (Cornwall). We deliver our apprenticeships over 36 – 48 months and they are a combination of college and work-based learning for you to gain practical skills and experience in mechanical and electrical engineering. You will be following the Mechatronics standard (a combination of mechanical and electrical engineering).

On offer is a starting salary of £12,000 which gives you an opportunity to earn while you learn . This will increase every six months following successful completion of agreed milestones . At the end of the 36 – 48 months our engineering apprentices move onto a skilled rate of pay £28,000 and it is our intention to offer a permanent engineering role.

In addition, we offer a pension scheme, life assurance, 25 days holiday a year plus bank holidays as well as an excellent reward hub for savings on things like everyday purchases and more. Our apprentices also receive their own set of tools plus full PPE and uniform so you are equipped to do your job from your first day on site.

This is a 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday role though you may be required to work a shift pattern at times.

Maintaining the health, safety and environmental standards on site, for yourself and others around you is central to everything we do

  • Have GCSEs Grade C/4 and above to include English, Maths and Science
  • Have a strong desire to progress within an engineering career and show an aptitude for this kind of work

  • Hold a valid UK Driving Licence, or able to obtain within 6 months of starting. Own transport is key to be able to move around sites as part of the apprenticeship.
