The post will be demanding so we are looking for candidates who are ready for the challenge and share our values of care, honesty, and accountability. We are looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate good communication skills and a strong interest in providing operational HR support to the Trust.

Although you do not require A Levels/BTECs, what is important is that you are numerate and literate and have the study approach that A levels demand. You must be organised and self disciplined around your studies. As this is an apprenticeship, we cannot accept candidates who are already studying towards or have completed AAT Level 3 or Higher .

During your initial 18 month apprenticeship, you will undertake a comprehensive learning programme that will include day-release for study. You will gain valuable, transferable skills and experiences that will enable you to apply for further jobs/posts.

Main duties of the job

THE TEAMHuman Resource, Medical Staffing and Payroll Services take care of the people who look after our people.We make sure nothing gets in their way – giving our multi-professionals everything they need to do something, well, remarkable.

Based in a modern purpose built Employee Service Centre at the Castle Hill Hospital and working with the Employee Service Centre Manager, you’ll be given all the support you need to:Support the transition to, and development of, a modern integrated Employee Service Centre that provides an efficient, effective and supportive service.

Provide effective and professional HR services for all levels of medical staff across the Trust.

Support the delivery of a high quality, customer focused, and measurable service.

Support the development of a team that is professional, attentive and supportive and always seeks to improve wherever and whenever needed.

This role is providing a 7 day service, on a shift pattern of 7am-3pm/ 8am-4pm/ 9am-5pm.

About us

HUTH has two main sites: Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital with an annual budget of approximately £500 million. The Trust employs around 11,000 staff and serves an extended population of 1.25 million, delivering a number of outpatient services from locations across the area.

The Trust’s secondary care service portfolio is comprehensive, covering the major medical and surgical specialties, routine and specialist diagnostic services and other clinical support services. These services are provided primarily to a catchment population of approximately 600,000 in the Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire area.

HUTH provides specialist and tertiary services to a population of 1.25 million extending from Scarborough in North Yorkshire to Grimsby and Scunthorpe in North East and North Lincolnshire respectively.
