You will work towards a Level 3 Business Administrator Advanced Apprenticeship over 18 months attending a local college.

What you’ll be doing

To assist the Operational Control Hub (OCH) Manager in ensuring all operations are carried out quickly and efficiently within the Operations Control Hub, making best use of available resources and supporting the teams to succeed together. As part of the (OCH) team the Apprentice Control Room Specialist duties include the following:

Dealing with incoming emergency situations: liaising with operational teams, out of hours crews and emergency services to ensure resolution to required timescales

Monitoring of all routine, reactive and programmed works for the day

Undertaking corrective actions to deliver the planned and programmed works / activities

Escalating actions to be resolved and ensuring risk is reduced wherever possible

Identifying opportunities for service or process improvement and creating problem statements for the teams to address, including best value for money, quality, and efficiency

Who we’re looking for

  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK at the time of joining
  • Ideally have a UK drivers license
  • Five GCSEs grades 9-4 (A*- C) including Maths, English and a Science
  • Good timekeeping, a keen attitude to work and an ability to listen to, and follow instructions
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
