The Hospital Ambulance Liaison Officer (HALO) smooths the transition of care from EEAST to the receiving acute hospital trust, and is therefore instrumental in improving the patient experience.

Our HALOs work diligently with Hospital site managers and clinical staff, along with EEAST Emergency Operational Control (EOC) room staff, to ensure that hospital delays are reduced to an absolute minimum, ambulance availability is sustained, and patients in the local communities receive the appropriate response to emergency calls.

The HALO requires a high level of paramedic clinical expertise to enable credible discussions with consultant led teams at the acute hospital trusts. The HALO requires 3 years operational experience as a HCPC registered paramedic.

As part of the local management team, HALOs are required to initiate staff welfare as required in addition to fulfilling many of the management functions required to maintain high levels of ambulance availability.

Successful candidates will need to be highly motivated, and able to motivate and inspire others.

Please note that this role is full-time, providing 24/7 cover.
