Description

Our organisation joint venture is the construction partner for HS2 Euston Station. We are responsible for the design and construction of the HS2 station and improving connections between the new station and the London Underground system. The Camden Partnership was created to bring together stakeholders in the Euston station HS2 scheme to identify and respond to the challenges and opportunities created during the HS2 construction phase.

Duties

The key areas of responsibility and experience in this role will include: · Work directly with the Camden Partnership Manager to help implement project goals· Contribute to the planning and development of projects and take them through a feasibility process· Keep track of and report on project progress.· Update and report on the schedule progress, budget and spending· Tracking and management of documentation· Coordinating and recording meetings with key project stakeholders (internal and external)· Responsible for monitoring and escalation of project management KPIs and performance metrics· Take a proactive role in monitoring and evaluating existing project management processes in order to identify opportunities and provide advice for the improvement of processes and systems· Supporting, coordinating and attending multi-disciplinary team and programme management meetings· Completing any tasks assigned by the Camden Partnership Manager in an efficient and timely manner· Helping the Camden Partnership Manager or other members of the sub- programme tackle emerging challenges as and when they arise

Essential criteria

This role includes the opportunity to complete a Level 4 Apprenticeship leading to achievement of an externally recognised qualification in Project Management. In addition to their operational responsibilities and academic study the Apprentice will be supported through a 4 year programme of internal training and development for all Mace School Leaver Apprentices. The successful candidate will join an active community of early career professionals, providing development opportunities and social events through the Early Careers Network. Person Specification – Technical Competencies required· Excellent verbal and written skills· Knowledge of issues affecting residents, commuters and other key stakeholders· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Behavioural Competencies required· Strong team player· Good at influencing and communication skills· Persuasive communicator· Empathetic tactful and diplomatic· Able to work independently and as part of a team· Ability to cope well under pressure and within tight timeframes· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
