Overview

Approved for delivery on the 29/01/2019, the bid and proposal coordinator, Advanced apprenticeship standard provides a level 3, upon completion. This apprenticeship will typically take 24 months to complete, not including the End-Point Assessment Period.

What the course covers

Bid and proposal co-ordinators work with multiple teams within an organisation to support the bidding process when tendering for new business, and will play a key role in bringing forward proposals and communicated to various clients and organisations in an effort to win new work.

You will learn how to provide support throughout the process from the start through to completion, as you track opportunities, engage with customers and create and deliver presentations based on your businesses proposals. You will understand the importance of contract management, and know when to use potentially sensitive and confidential information as you maintain excellent organisational and time-management skills to manage your caseload.

As an apprentice, you will need to act professionally at all times, use your initiative to solve problems that arise during the bidding process and be willing to go the extra mile to reach your objectives. You will also need a keen eye for detail, coupled with creative writing skills and the drive and desire to succeed in a competitive role.

After successfully completing the apprenticeship, you will also be eligible for membership of the Association of Bid and Proposal Management Professionals (APMP).
