What the course covers

Your role as a Business Administrator is to use your broad skillset to support the day-to-day tasks that keep a variety of organisations running smoothly and efficiently. You will carry out a range of work under the supervision of the office manager, independently, or as part of a team to enhance the profitability and functionality of the business by developing and implementing administrative services.

You could be producing accurate records and documentation, collating information or dataset’s and storing them correctly using suitable archiving procedures. You may then use the information to produce and present reports, emails or letters to senior managers and clients.

You could also play a key role in assessing the quality of the work produced by other areas of the business, and apply problem-solving techniques to resolve challenges or problems that may arise as a result, using your best judgement to make mature and well thought out decisions.

As a business administrator, you will need strong organisational skills as you will sometimes need to undertake multiple jobs simultaneously, and demonstrate good communication skills as you interact with multiple teams and departments within an organisation.
