Overview
This Higher coaching professional apprenticeship standard will provide you with a level 5, qualification. This apprenticeship standard was approved on the 13/05/2020 and typically takes 14 months to complete. However, it is important to note that the duration of the apprenticeship standard stated does not include the End-Point Assessment period.
What the course covers
Working as a Coaching professional will involve supporting a range of individuals and teams in private, public and multinational organisations in all sectors. You will deliver one-to-one coaching, team coaching and leadership coaching, providing them with the skills to support a variety of business operations and improve overall performance.
You will equip clients with the ability to enhance their own or their team’s professionalism, by initially analysing their needs and understanding their current coaching culture, before selecting from a range of tools and techniques to deliver coaching sessions both in a group setting and individually.
The apprenticeship will develop your understanding of the various theories associated with learning and reflective practices such as Kolb and Schon, in addition to the basics of psychology, neuroscience and linguistic interpretation. You will learn how to maintain high practice protocols and the importance of contracting and negotiating your services, using multiple methods of communication.
You will always work towards raising awareness of the advantages of professional coaching, and how it can be used to empower a team and boost performance levels. You will always take a positive approach to your work and celebrate diversity in your coaching practice, promoting equality and inclusion.
