Overview

Approved for delivery on the 26/03/2015, the digital and technology solutions professional (integrated degree), Degree apprenticeship standard provides a level 6, integrated degree upon completion. This apprenticeship will typically take 36 months to complete, not including the End-Point Assessment Period.

What the course covers

A Digital and Technology Solutions Professional provides technology-enabled solutions to customers in a range of areas including software, cyber security, data analysis, business and systems analysis, and network infrastructure. You will be responsible for increasing a business’s productivity using digital technology and involved in implementing technology solutions that enable companies to develop new products and services for their customers.

This apprenticeship standard will provide training and education of a core set of outcomes. This includes training, knowledge development and experience in Systems Development, Data, IT Project Management, Computer and Network Infrastructure, and more. You will learn the value of technology solutions for businesses, and how they can utilise technology systems for competitive advantage.

Alongside the development of core skills, you will have the opportunity to specialise in one of six specialism areas. The specialism you will undertake is usually based on the type of business you are employed in. All apprentices will develop expert knowledge and experience to operate effectively in the defined role. The specialism areas are: Software engineer, IT consultant, Business analyst, Cyber security specialist, Data analyst and Network engineer.
