Overview

The digital and technology solutions specialist (integrated degree) was approved for delivery on 07/08/2018. This Degree apprenticeship standard awards you with a level 7, integrated degree qualification when completed. The usual duration of this apprenticeship is 18 months, but this does not include the End-Point Assessment Period.

What the course covers

The purpose of this apprenticeship standard is to provide training and experience in the digital sector, allowing apprentices to excel in IT leadership roles. A Digital and Technology Solutions Specialist maintains technology strategies through critical technology leadership skills. This involves investigating, identifying and implementing creative solutions to novel problems.

A Digital and Technology Solutions Specialist will study the organisation’s goals, strategies and practices and direct technology solutions accordingly. You will develop, deliver and maintain strategic plans for digital technologies.

There are several core technical skills, knowledge, and behaviours that apprentices will develop. This is primarily based around the role of leadership technology-based organisations, and how to effectively manage others to achieve successful business operations. Alongside the development of core skills and competences, this apprenticeship standard will allow apprentices to specialise in one technical area. The 11 specialist areas are:
