Overview

The digital marketer was approved for delivery on 23/03/2016. This Advanced apprenticeship standard awards you with a level 3, qualification when completed. The usual duration of this apprenticeship is 18 months, but this does not include the End-Point Assessment Period.

What the course covers

The primary role of a Digital Marketer is to research, create and implement digital campaigns across many online platforms, including social media, to drive customer acquisition, engagement and retention. You will typically work as part of a team of marketing specialists, in which you will be responsible for digital of the elements of the overall marketing campaign. You will work towards marketing briefs and instructions typically delivered by the marketing or IT manager.

This apprenticeship standard will focus on the development of excellent written communication skills applicable to a range of audiences and digital platforms. You will also have strong research skills which include an ability to collect and analyse information on the digital environment to inform both short- and long-term digital communication strategies.

The digital marketer apprenticeship standard is recognised for entry on to the Register of IT Technicians and access to join as an Affiliate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing upon completion of the apprenticeship.
