What the course covers

The general purpose of a Digital User Experience Professional is to investigate, analyse and design the experience users have with digital products and services to find strategies by which these interactions can be improved and optimised over time. You should expect to be working with both current and emerging digital services and will aim to improve these services throughout its lifetime.

Daily work will involve interacting with internal and external parties, including users and customers, external stakeholders and team members. You will work alongside colleagues from a range of specialist fields including but not limited to designers, developers, engineers and system analysts. Digital user experience professionals are typically based in an office, but will occasionally require field-research in the environments of the users whose needs they are seeking to be met.

You will be responsible for leading the application of user-based design methodologies, tools and techniques across the full lifecycle of the digital product or service. This stretches from the research and development stages through to continuous improvement until the retirement of the product or service.
