What the course covers

The primary role of an Events assistant is to provide support to the event planning team to organise and deliver an event successfully. This could be achieved through a diverse range of tasks, including searching for the right location and venue for the event; working with the design team on the look and feel of the event, or organising logistics like transportation and catering.

Events cover a broad number of activities and could range in size from a small number of attendees through to thousands, being held in the UK or overseas. The type of events you could be organising include conferences, meetings, trade shows and exhibitions. Other activities include outdoor events, cultural events, sporting and music events. The purpose of these events is for companies to bring together different groups of people; this could include employees attending a conference; customers attending the launch of a new product; or shareholders hosting an event for new investors.

You will have an enthusiastic and positive approach with a willingness to provide a swift and accurate service to clients.
