Overview

This Advanced hospitality supervisor apprenticeship standard will provide you with a level 3, qualification. This apprenticeship standard was approved on the 07/09/2016 and typically takes 12 months to complete. However, it is important to note that the duration of the apprenticeship standard stated does not include the End-Point Assessment period.

What the course covers

As a Hospitality supervisor, you will provide vital support to teams working within the hospitality sector. Hospitality supervisors work across a range of businesses, including bars, restaurants, cafés, conference centres, and hotels. You will often work under pressure to deliver excellent customer service and motivate the team to excel in their roles.

This apprenticeship standard will focus on developing apprentices’ skills in leadership and management. This includes learning how to motivate the team, develop an individual’s capabilities, identify the strengths and weaknesses of your team members and professionally handle poor behaviour or performance. You will also develop an understanding of the importance of customer satisfaction, including the target market and the needs of your clients. Completion of this apprenticeship standard can act as the stepping stone to progressing into a managerial hospitality position.
