Overview

This Intermediate housing and property management assistant apprenticeship standard will provide you with a level 2, qualification. This apprenticeship standard was approved on the 26/11/2015 and typically takes 12 months to complete. However, it is important to note that the duration of the apprenticeship standard stated does not include the End-Point Assessment period.

What the course covers

A Housing and property management assistant works in a customer-facing role, and has primary responsibility for administrative tasks in support of establishing and maintaining tenancies. You will work under the supervision of a manager and the wider team.

Daily tasks vary but could include preparing paperwork for service charges, supporting consultations and undertaking customer surveys, data administration, conducting supervised viewings and rental negotiations, handling telephone calls, filing and scanning, and researching new initiatives under the instruction of a supervisor. Training will focus on providing high-quality customer service, including how to identify customer needs, resolve issues promptly and collect customer feedback.

This apprenticeship standard will prepare you to progress further in the rental sector, with the opportunity to progress into property management and leadership roles. Upon completion of this apprenticeship standard, apprentices will be eligible to join a professional body, such as the Chartered Institute of Housing at Member level or Association of Residential Letting Agents at Associate Grade.
