Overview

Approved for delivery on the 18/08/2017, the hr consultant and partner, Higher apprenticeship standard provides a level 5, upon completion. This apprenticeship will typically take 36 months to complete, not including the End-Point Assessment Period.

What the course covers

A HR consultant and partner will use their expert knowledge to provide and lead the delivery of HR solutions to challenges faced by a business. HR refers to human resources; it is the deals with the hiring, administration, training, and welfare of employees. A HR consultant and partner will typically make decisions and recommendations on how a business can or should proceed in a specific situation.

This apprenticeship standard will enable apprentices to develop a strong understanding across the HR disciplines, legislation and policies. You will interact with employees daily and will lead the delivery of solutions to complex issues. It is essential to keep up to date with business and policy changes, seek feedback, and act on this to improve performance.

Alongside the core knowledge, skills and behaviours, apprentices will specialise in one of the following options:

  • Core human resources
  • Resourcing
  • Total reward
  • Organisation development
  • Human resources operations.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship standard enables the apprentice to apply for Associate Membership with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, with potential to progress to Chartered Membership.
