Overview
The hr support was approved for delivery on 25/08/2017. This Advanced apprenticeship standard awards you with a level 3, qualification when completed. The usual duration of this apprenticeship is 18 months, but this does not include the End-Point Assessment Period.
What the course covers
The role of a HR support worker is to deliver front-line support to managers and employees. Work will include handling day to day queries and providing HR advice on a variety of Human Resources processes, ranging from recruitment through to retirement. You will use HR systems to keep accurate records, provide relevant HR recommendations to the business, and support the company to implement HR changes.
You will develop strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify the root causes of different issues. An essential part of this standard is the focus on communication and interpersonal skills. Apprentices will learn how to effectively handle customers and colleagues, build trusting relationships and handle sensitive HR situations professionally and confidentially. You will be engaging, confident, and committed to seeking out new ways to enable continuous improvement.
The purpose of this apprenticeship standard is to provide apprentices with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to achieve a successful career in HR. Completion of this apprenticeship will kick-start your HR career, with potential to progress to the level of HR consultant or partner.
