Junior Content Producer

Creating various types of digital and print media content from a client brief.

Overview

The junior content producer was approved for delivery on 06/06/2017. This Advanced apprenticeship standard awards you with a level 3, qualification when completed. The usual duration of this apprenticeship is 12 months, but this does not include the End-Point Assessment Period.

What the course covers

This apprenticeship trains you to create media content for a variety of media outlets, including social media, digital, broadcast, and print. Junior content creators work to a creative brief set by the client; they must adhere to this brief at all stages of content creation by ensuring the brand’s objectives and messages are present in all elements of the content. Companies want to maximise their audience engagement through this content, so junior content creators must have an appreciation and understanding for a brand’s fundamental ethos and strategy.

This content is typically used for a marketing or advertising campaign; therefore, apprentices will be learning how to create a campaign which is uniquely engaging and coherent across all forms of media. You must create content that works specifically for each media channel and have an understanding of the different target audiences of each channel.

Junior content creators work as part of a team with other designers and developers to ensure the content being created work from all business perspectives. Depending on each brief and each employer, you might be producing video, images, text/copy, social media posts, and webpages. You must have an enthusiasm for digital communication and creating an exciting online experience.
