Overview

Approved for delivery on the 11/07/2018, the junior estate agent, Intermediate apprenticeship standard provides a level 2, upon completion. This apprenticeship will typically take 12 months to complete, not including the End-Point Assessment Period.

What the course covers

This apprenticeship introduces you to the processes and administrative tasks which are essential to the business of selling properties. During this apprenticeship, you will assist the daily functions of an estate agent in an administrative role, working in all areas such as sales, marketing, auctioneering and commercial property. All work completed must comply with the legal and regulatory restrictions of estate agency, and junior estate agents must adhere to client confidentiality.

Daily tasks include data registration, creating window adverts, arranging viewings, booking viewings, accompanying senior estate agents to properties, selling additional services and products, collecting keys and carrying out property research. This is a varied role, and the apprenticeship aims to prepare you with the tools to progress into all kinds of estate agency positions.

Additionally, this apprenticeship will teach you to create and design accurate floorplans following the measuring code of practice. You will become accustomed and confident in conducting viewings and receiving formal offers. You must take responsibility for your work and strive to understand all the policy and procedures relating to buying and selling property.
