What the course covers

A Retail Leader organises and leads a project to achieve excellence in customer service and public relations. In turn, they will nurture and uphold company values and culture. Any retailer may want a Retail Leader to help improve sales and growth, such that the apprenticeship could work almost anywhere.

The apprentice will undertake several tasks and learn various skills. These include improving the customer’s perception of every stage of the product’s creation and distribution, increase the profit margins for products, identify how to outperform competitors, innovate the company’s current processes, and research the customer’s changing demands.

The most successful Retail Leaders demonstrate specific behaviours in their work. The core behaviour they show is a passion for challenging the status quo. There are a thousand outdated process and perspectives in retail, and this apprentice must be confident to stand up to more experienced members of staff to implement new ideas. As such, another critical skill is to be able to inspire their colleagues. Change is difficult for anyone, so they have to be the driving force that ensures these transitions are quick and successful. Finally, they must be passionate about providing good customer service.
