Overview

Approved for delivery on the 07/11/2017, the senior insurance professional, Higher apprenticeship standard provides a level 6, non-degree qualification upon completion. This apprenticeship will typically take 36 months to complete, not including the End-Point Assessment Period.

What the course covers

This apprenticeship standard covers a whole host of roles, including operational management and client management. You will need to build up a strong technical competence that you can apply to a range of situations.

You will be required to gain a deep understanding of the insurance market, including the changing and complex needs alongside the products and services available. An in-depth awareness of legal and regulatory frameworks will be compulsory to determine the impact of exposure to risk, and the strategies needed to manage, mitigate and transfer it.

This apprenticeship will allow you to engage proactively will clients, customers and colleagues to deliver high-performance business outcomes. You will achieve this by applying your specialist technical knowledge and experience to possibly unfamiliar situations, using a range of communication techniques to relay information effectively.

Following this, you will learn how to analyse relevant data and information to evaluate performance and business results. You will be able to identify opportunities for improvement and use your initiative to facilitate this.

You will be professional, truthful and sincere in your work, avoiding any possible conflicts of interest, acting as a role model for others.
