Senior Investment and Commercial Banking Professional

The senior investment and commercial banking professional was approved for delivery on 08/05/2018. This Higher apprenticeship standard awards you with a level 7, non-degree qualification qualification when completed. The usual duration of this apprenticeship is 18 months, but this does not include the End-Point Assessment Period.

This apprenticeship will require a high level of responsibility, and specific technical skills at a strategic level. You will become a competent professional in investment management, commercial/business banking, investment banking, consulting or operations.

The apprenticeship will differ slightly depending on the specific role you are looking to enter. However, there will be a broad level of knowledge and skills required across all roles. You will be required to gain an impeccable understanding of the Financial Services industry and the legal and regulatory framework that is in place.

In addition to this, you will need to understand the organisation’s technical policies and procedures, including systems, tools and standards expected. A good level of IT skills will be beneficial due to the nature of the processes and systems used.

Other responsibilities will include the development of trusting relationships with clients and customers to ensure long-term partnerships. You will follow the goings-on within their business to provide the most appropriate products and services to meet their needs and best interests.
