Brief Description  

Being part of the team, ensuring the day-to-day running of the nursery is to a high standard. The children thrive on our home-from-home environment and contributing to the ideas with the children.

Daily tasks

You will learn all aspects of the nursery throughout the duration of your apprenticeship, this could include the following: 

  • Playing and interacting with children 
  • Contributing ideas for activities 
  • Overseeing a small group of children under the watch of a supervisor
  • Updating learning journals for parents, including photographs of activities
  • Preparation of snacks 
  • Assisting with clean up after meal times and any other cleaning as and where required
  • Changing of nappies in baby rooms
  • Any other duties as per the request of your supervisor
  • Training and qualification

  • Training will be completed at work placement
  • Level 2 Early Years Practitoner standard
  • Progression routes

    Potential to progress into a Level 3 Early years educator apprenticeship and to gain a full time career within the childcare sector

    Details of Working week 

  • Shifts to be confirmed. Monday – Friday, between the hours of 8am – 5:30pm
  • 35 hours per week
