We currently offer clear apprenticeship pathways for our existing staff from entry to senior level in both clinical and non-clinical roles. The Trust offer apprenticeship development for those new to Solent NHS Trust across a range of roles and levels as a critical part of our attraction and recruitment activities.
We offer over 30 different apprenticeship programmes, and this is growing constantly with new standards being developed and approved each month.
The role of the Apprenticeship Development Liaison will include working with a variety of clinical apprentices, providing them with pastoral support, advice, and guidance. As this role is working predominantly with our nursing apprentices a current NMC Nursing registration is required. As a team we aim to maximise opportunities that apprenticeships bring, and the Apprenticeship Development Liaison will play a pivotal role in ensuring that this is achieved.
The role is advertised for 14 hours per week over 2 days
Main duties of the job
Ensure that apprentices receive the best quality support and experience, being responsible for managing and investigating complaints where initial investigations lead by Apprenticeship Development Liaison require escalation. Undertaking quality audits to support this responsibilityProvide pastoral support to apprentices undertaking Level 2-6 throughout their Apprenticeship journey, maintaining support plans and recordsAct as the apprentice advocate, liaising between the apprentice, their manager, practice assessor, academic assessor and course tutor under the supervision and guidance of the Apprenticeship ManagersAssist in recruitment and selection of Apprentices as requiredPromote apprenticeships for internal staff and potential new starters
