Overview

Approved for delivery on the 13/05/2020, the advanced beauty therapist, Advanced apprenticeship standard provides a level 3, upon completion. This apprenticeship will typically take 18 months to complete, not including the End-Point Assessment Period.

What the course covers

The beauty therapy sector is one of the largest industries in the UK, and the Advanced Beauty Therapist apprenticeship is designed to provide you with the ability to move on from basic techniques learnt previous and start to plan, implement and perform more advanced bespoke therapies on the face, scalp and body. You will also have to knowledge to provide aftercare to clients and advice on product ranges and follow up treatments.

Throughout the apprenticeship, you will provide a wide variety of more technical services, including advanced massage therapies, and electrical face and body treatments using the correct products, tools, equipment. As part of your everyday role, you will learn to improve people’s general wellbeing by always providing the highest level of service and work to industry standards, as you manage you own clients and organise your workload effectively.

You are expected to work independently in a protected and secure environment and liaise with external trade members such as product brands and manufacturing representatives, as well as supervise others where required, helping support business growth.
