Overview

This Higher senior housing and property management apprenticeship standard will provide you with a level 4, qualification. This apprenticeship standard was approved on the 26/11/2015 and typically takes 18 months to complete. However, it is important to note that the duration of the apprenticeship standard stated does not include the End-Point Assessment period.

What the course covers

This apprenticeship involves the responsibility of managing and delivering housing and property services. You will be required to learn and understand any relevant legislation and regulation in line with your job role to ensure you comply with contractual, statutory and legal regulations.

As a senior housing and property manager, you will manage a specific function within the business, possibly managing a team whilst working alongside the wider organisation, external partners and the local community.

You will learn to become proactive in identifying problems and finding solutions, alongside considering areas for improvement. You will take responsibility for the cost-effectiveness of your designated area, ensuring that you are providing the expected level of quality to meet the needs of customers.

This apprenticeship will provide an insight into a range of services including, repairs and maintenance, lettings, tenancy sustainment, care and housing support, anti-social behaviour, financial and social exclusion and more. With this in mind, you will learn how to deal appropriately with different groups of people, including those who may be vulnerable or have complex needs.
