Job Description
♣ The setting up and completion of activities to suit the child’s age and stage of development based on children’s interests
♣ Plan next steps for children that are appropriate and relevant
♣ To ensure that mealtimes and snack times are a time of pleasant social sharing and you encourage communication skills and model good behaviour
♣ Washing and changing children as required
♣ Providing a secure environment where children are made to feel safe and comforted at all times
♣ Providing conscientious and effective supervision of children
♣ To interact and engage with children at all times
♣ Work in partnership with parents /carers offering a fully inclusive environment

Training Provided
♣ Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Waverton Day Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
♣ If successful, you will complete a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship programme, delivered through Waverton Day Nursery’s dedicated training provider, Realise.
